I really liked Torchwood but the series they did aimed at the U.S. market ‘Miracle Day’ was pretty bad.

I watched four episodes of season one, then was bored, so mercifully I didn’t make it to Miracle Day

Miracle Day was too gun-ho and aggressive for me.
Series One was slow to pick up speed and I think Torchwood generally is quite British and can be hard for non Brits to get.
